Modula at IMTS 2026

Modula is heading to IMTS 2026, taking place September 14-19 at McCormick Place in Chicago.

As one of the largest manufacturing technology events in North America, IMTS brings together manufacturers, engineers, operations leaders, and technology providers to explore the equipment and technologies shaping the future of production.

At Booth #236557 in the North Building, Level 3, Modula will demonstrate how automated storage can become part of a more efficient and connected manufacturing environment.

Visitors will have the opportunity to see a Modula Lift equipped with a double bay configuration, explore examples of automation integration, and talk with our team about improving material flow around production.

Manufacturing Efficiency Goes Beyond the Production Line

Modern manufacturing facilities continue to invest in advanced machinery, robotics, automation, and software to increase productivity. But efficient production also depends on what happens around the machines.

Tools, components, raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and spare parts need to be available when and where they are needed. When operators spend time searching for materials, walking between storage areas, or waiting for components to reach the production floor, these activities can create inefficiencies even in highly automated facilities.

Automated storage can help close this gap by bringing materials closer to the point of use and creating a more organized flow between inventory and production.

At IMTS, our team will show how Modula solutions can support applications ranging from tool and spare parts management to kitting, component storage, production replenishment, and WIP management.

See the Modula Lift Double Bay Live

At our booth, visitors can experience the Modula Lift equipped with a Double Bay configuration, featuring two separate access points, one on each side of the unit.

This setup allows a single VLM to support different workflows simultaneously. For example, one bay can be dedicated to replenishment while the other is used for picking, helping separate inbound and outbound activities and keep materials moving efficiently.

The two access points can also serve different work zones, production areas, or departments from the same unit. This provides additional flexibility in manufacturing environments where materials need to be accessed by different teams or at different points within the production process.

With its ability to store heavy and bulky items such as tooling, dies, components, and raw materials, the Modula Lift Double Bay configuration combines high-density vertical storage with the flexibility to support complex manufacturing workflows.

Connecting Storage with Manufacturing Automation

Automated storage does not have to operate as an isolated system. At the Modula booth, visitors can explore videos and real-world application examples showing how Modula automated storage solutions can become part of a broader automation ecosystem.

VLMs can be integrated with warehouse management software, robotics, conveyors, AMRs, and other automated systems to support the movement of materials between storage and production.

These integrations can help manufacturers create a more connected material flow, where inventory information, storage equipment, and automation technologies work together to get the right materials to the right place at the right time.

Join Us for Happy Hour at IMTS

After a full day exploring IMTS, stop by the Modula booth and join our team for Happy Hour. We’ll be hosting drinks at Booth #236557 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on September 15, 16, and 17.

It’s an opportunity to meet the Modula team, continue the conversation about manufacturing automation, and connect with other industry professionals in a more informal setting.

Stop by, grab a drink, and talk with our team.
