Trelleborg Slashes Wasted Warehouse Space

Trelleborg AB is an international manufacturer and supplier of industrial polymer products to seal, dampen and protect critical applications in demanding environments.

Problem:

The company’s warehouse in Tamworth, UK, received items from various Trelleborg plants but had trouble storing them. Shipped in long cardboard boxes, the products wasted half the storage space on the traditional racking system the company was using. In addition, products could languish past their expiration dates due to inadequate inventory management.

Solution:

Trelleborg bought three Modula Lifts for the warehouse, which immediately solved the space utilization problem. In addition, products were better protected and tracked with the help of the VLMs.
