Rodo-Ketten manages 200 orders a day with Modula VLMs

Rodo-Ketten is one of the leading European producers of ropes and chains. The German company makes more than 621 miles (1 million meters) of both chains and ropes each week.

Problem

With the addition of a new, large customer, Rodo-Ketten had to improve its warehouse operations to meet increased demand. The manufacturer had to handle complex and fast orders with a system that was both reliable and flexible.

Solution

Thanks to the addition of 3 Modula Lift ML75D vertical lift modules that featured double external bays — connected to the company’s existing ERP — Rodo-Ketten could manage an average of 200 orders per day, with at least 200 packages shipped by lunchtime.
