The Solution

The new system eliminated the need for ladders, reducing safety risks and making the operator’s job more practical and safe. Working at a comfortable height, operators can now pick parts quickly and accurately, significantly reducing picking mistakes. The Modula units, integrated with their WMS software, allow operators to enter the item code or select it from a picking list on a touchscreen console, further improving efficiency.
The secure, enclosed storage within the Modula units protects materials from exposure and potential damage. The LED bar feature enhances the speed and accuracy of identifying products, eliminating time wastage. LEMA expanded from an initial two Modula units to 14, and they are considering equipping all their warehouses with this system due to its numerous benefits. The automation and efficiency brought by Modula have resulted in faster picking times and improved turnover, enabling LEMA to fulfill orders more quickly and increase overall profitability.
