Florim is an Italian ceramics manufacturer and one of the world’s largest supplier of ceramic products.

Problem

Florim needed to automate the storage of spare parts, molds, and tools to improve working conditions inside its plants and enhance efficiency. Affected ares in need of upgrading included stock inventory, grinding, glazing, samples, and catalog storage.

Solution

Previously, pieces were removed from tall shelving by forklifts but now they are delivered at ergonomically correct heights to operators. Dual-bay systems were installed to increase throughput. Inventory was better managed, with access limited to identified workers to enhance the security of the valuable items.
